Miniature Teapots - How They're Made

Each piece of pottery is individually wheel thrown. Sam uses a finger technique that he has developed over the many years he has been making small pottery. As each item is made by eye, a sense of the size and a feeling for the type of spout, handle or lid emerges. After being thrown on a wheel, the pieces are assembled. Then they are dried, and fired. The remaining stages are decoration, glazing and firing another time.
